Ancient Burying Grounds of Waterbury…Vol 2

Anyone curious about Waterbury’s colonial past will find this volume interesting. If you walk along Meadow Street and look up at the wall that encloses Library Park, you can see some of the headstones that were once in the Grand Street Cemetery, the oldest burial place in the city. The only way to appreciate the headstones that did not survive, is to look them up in this volume. Information about many small early cemeteries located in the outlying areas, which have since become separate towns, is also included.
