This program is a product of the Mattatuck Museum's Twentieth Century Enterprise Project, a program established in 1994 to collect the stories of businesses that have been successful in the area, particularly in the second half of the twentieth century. The Twentieth Century Enterprise Project has conducted interviews with the founders and principals of these businesses and collected archival materials and product samples that illustrate significant developments in their company's history. These materials have been a part of the museum's collections and archives and are available for public research, and for use in exhibits, school programs and public programs, like this one.
