This program is a product of the Mattatuck Museum's Twentieth Century Enterprise Project, a program established in 1994 to collect the stories of businesses that have been successful in the area, particularly in the second half of the twentieth century. The Twentieth Century Enterprise Project has conducted interviews with the founders and principals of these businesses and collected archival materials and product samples that illustrate significant developments in their company's history. These materials have been a part of the museum's collections and archives and are available for public research, and for use in exhibits, school programs and public programs, like this one. The collection project is on-going. Please contact the museum's administrative office if you would like more information about the project. Our email address is info@mattatuckmuseum.org and our phone number is (203) 753-0381, x10.

The production of this program was made possible by NEOPERL, Inc., in honor of Dirck Barhydt, long-time President of WPM, the predecessor of NEOPERL and an early enthusiast for the industrial history projects at the Mattatuck Museum. Additional support was provided by the Manufacturers' Fund established by Mr. Barhydt at the Waterbury Foundation and supported by NEOPERL, Inc. to assist with the preservation of the history of  area manufacturing. We are grateful to WATR for technical assistance.
