Exhibit Images of Contentment: John Frederick Kensett and the Connecticut Shore will be on view at the Mattatuck Museum in Waterbury, Connecticut from September 15 through November 18, 2001. The exhibit features more than 20 paintings and drawings by Kensett of Contentment Island, brought together for the first time ever. Lenders to the exhibit include The Metropolitan Museum of Art, the University of Michigan Art Museum and the Amon Carter Museum.
