Sage's Ravine, Salisbury A picturesque site painted by a number of artists, Sage’s Ravine is located in the Joyceville section of Salisbury. A fast-running stream tumbles through the ravine on the side of Bear Mountain, which supplied power in the 19th century for saw and gristmills and a factory making scythes and edge tools. A blast furnace and foundry operated here between 1847 and 1870.
