For more than two decades the Mattatuck Museum has been identified as a leader in youth educational programs, services, and outreach, receiving regional recognition and state awards. The Museum's educational programs are designed to encourage critical thinking and observation skills while exposing students to aesthetic and historical objects within the museum setting. Programs are tailored to be age appropriate and responsive to special needs.
The staff of the Museum works closely with teachers and educators in the Waterbury Public School System to develop high quality programs that are curriculum based, hands on experiences.
In the following PowerPoint Presentation you will see students from the Waterbury Public Schools participating in Museum programs that greatly enhance their educational experience.
