The Max R. Traurig Library is a 1500 volume library that includes extensive Waterbury history archives, publications, photographs, ephemera, maps, and city directories. It is the local repository of records and ledgers of many of the city's past businesses, institutions and organizations. Collections include materials related to Waterbury industry in general, its brass industry, clock manufacturing and button business.
The Library welcomes researchers by appointment only. Appointments must be scheduled two weeks in advance. Click here to contact us.
The Library offers research service by mail, online form and fax for those unable to visit the library. There is a $25.00 charge for this service (extensive searches may require additional fees).
