Waterbury Architectural Walking Tour

Through the generous support of the Connecticut Community Foundation, MSW developed audio tours of architectural sites in the heart of Downtown Waterbury. Our magnificent architecture dates from between the middle of the 19th century to the beginning of the 21st century. The buildings were designed by some of the best architects in the region & the country including Henry Bacon, Architect of the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, DC; McKim, Mead & White, the foremost architectural firm of the late nineteenth century; and Cesar Pelli, a leading architect today. In addition, Waterbury's Municipal complex was designed by Cass Gilbert, architect of the Woolworth Building and the U.S. Supreme Court building.

Here you can download a brochure that will guide you through the segments of the walking tour, and you can download the audio tour segments found below to your MP3 player. Each will inform you about the history and unique features of locations in our Downtown!
