Marketing Coordinator Named at Mattatuck Museum Arts and History Center

February 21, 2008

Waterbury, CT….The Mattatuck Museum Arts and History Center has announced the appointment of Catherine Rosich as Marketing Coordinator. She comes to the museum with 35 years of experience with not-for-profit organizations in hospitality, member services, sponsor relations, and marketing communications. Rosich earned a BS from the University of Delaware, an MBA from the University of Connecticut, and a PhD from New York University. Her responsibilities will center on carrying the museum’s message throughout the community, building exhibit and program audiences, and expanding museum membership.

“The Mattatuck Museum is a valuable member of the Waterbury community, translating the city’s industrial roots and ethnic neighborhoods into a rich heritage of which its citizens can be proud," Rosich said. "It will be an honor to work with the rest of the museum staff to bring this heritage to life, particularly with the exciting new history exhibit about to open.”

As the new history exhibit, Coming Home: Building Community in a Changing World, is developed, Rosich will work to spread the word about the exhibit’s dynamic interactive features, and related events and programs. The exhibit will provide innovative new insight into Waterbury’s history, telling stories that are relevant to those who live here today. Thereby connecting the past to the present, and laying a foundation for the future.

The Mattatuck Museum Arts and History Center, located at 144 West Main Street, Waterbury, is open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. Convenient, free parking is located directly behind the museum on Park Place. For more information about this exhibit, the museum’s collections, and other programs, please call 203-753-0381 ext. 10 or visit the website at www.MattatuckMuseum.org.
