Whether your ceremony is in the cozy outdoor courtyard or among the beautiful paintings in our gallery your wedding will be picture perfect. Your guests can experience a unique cocktail hour; tasting hors d’oeuvres and mingling while perusing the exhibits in our galleries. Move upstairs to the Performing Arts Center and enjoy a catered sit-down meal and let loose with some dancing. Our staff will help you create a one-of-a-kind, memorable event.

Performing Arts Center

Located on the Museum’s third floor, this spacious room features a sophisticated sound and lighting system in a theatrical setting of rich mahogany paneling. With a seating capacity of 200 theater style, this room can also accommodate up to 180 guests for a seated event. The stage makes this room ideal for meetings, weddings and performances.

Art Galleries

Spacious and classically detailed art galleries display the museum’s collections of work by American masters who have been associated with the state of Connecticut. Surveying three centuries, the collection includes 18th, 19th and 20th century works. The 18th and 19th Century Gallery can hold up to 120 people for your ceremony.

Munger Room

Located on the Museum’s main floor, the Munger Room offers versatile space for small receptions accommodating up to 75 guests. As many as 50 guests can be served seated. The Munger Room, main lobby and courtyard garden make an ideal location for ceremonies and small cocktail parties.

Contemporary Gallery

Located on the Museum's main floor, the Community Gallery is a changing gallery dealing with topics of local interest. It is a visually interesting room that can accommodate up to 40 guests and is ideal for a rehearsal dinner.

Courtyard Garden

Located on the Museum's main floor, the outdoor Courtyard offers a tranquil setting. This garden space can accommodate up to 50 guests and is ideal for a beautiful wedding ceremony or cocktail hour.








RENTAL RATES


Standard facility rentals are 4 hours unless otherwise specified in the agreement.
An additional fee, which varies per rental space, will be applied to each additional hour.

When renting the space at the Museum, proof of liability insurance coverage of at least $300,000 is required.
